Gas distributors are used for distribution of gas into individual branches of piping systems. Shut-off valves in individual branches of gas distributor provide safe operation and closing of the gas piping under specified working conditions. Gas distributors can be used for all types of gases under operating pressures and temperatures. The most commonly used are air distributors.

Distributors enable distribution of gas flow e.g. to pneumatically controlled actuators, fittings etc. Gas distributors are mounted to a piping system by screwed or flanged connections. Screwed or flanged connections guarantee easy mounting or dismounting of gas distributor from the piping system.

For the production of gas distributor body there is used carbon steel as a standard. If the gas distributor is to be used in aggressive surroundings or in the surroundings with possibility of inner or outer corrosion, the whole distributor can be made of stainless steel. Shut-off valves in the individual branches of gas distributor are made of stainless steel as a standard. For the production of high pressure and high temperature gas distribution systems it is recommended to use refractory alloyed steels such as 14MoV6-3/15 128, 10CrMo9-10/11CrMo910, 13CrMo4-5, 16Mo3 and X10CrMoVNb9-1 alloyed steels.
